I don't know about you, but I've loved tie-dye since I was a kid. It's was always so much fun to create your own shirts in a bucket in the backyard! Now that I'm older I don't sport the tie-dye shirts as much, but I love finding wardrobe pieces that incorporate the style.

We all know it, Target is a dangerous place. We've all seen the meme... but I was just going for toilet paper OOPS. Target does it again. But who can blame us? Target just does such a phenomenal job keeping their stores stocked with the cutest and most up to date products. It starts with that one item in the dollar section, then of course you just have to browse. Browsing the aisles, in our own happy la la land, next thing you know... You're at the checkout counter with 10+ new items in your cart. Sadly, not all of us have a toddler to blame. For those of you who do, disregard this next statement. *As it is fully acceptable for you to start grabbing items and leaving them any place that is not in your cart or on the conveyor belt.* For the rest of us, its just too much to stand there, under the watchful eyes of the checkout clerks, picking through our beautifully filled cart. You know in your mind you're justifying each purchase. Alas, you close your eyes and go for it only to find your receipt shouting that you just spent $100+. Okay, okay, admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery. But I mean, is it really a problem? Hmmm. Happy Shopping! Here is a look at my current must haves as we transition from Winter to Spring!
(Click the photo to be automatically directed to site's purchasing page for each top pictured.) I love a good statement necklace, but boy can they be intimidating. Today, I'll be showing you a simple way to transition them from casual to classy with a simple change of your shoes.
Funny story, my husband literally hates distressed denim. He calls them my "high school jeans." I find it hilarious. After almost 8 years together, he knows I dress for me 95% and for him maybe 5%. Anyone else have a partner that has a strong opinion on a style you love?!
I've had these particular jeans for a year or two now. Naturally, they were called the 'totally torn denim,' quite appropriate. I love pairing them with a boho style top to balance them out. I just cannot get enough of this blouse in particular. Its so effortless, yet it makes such a statement! It is slightly longer in the back. to make it more "work appropriate" for the working woman too! With roll up sleeves, a wrap style front, lace up neckline and and grey to purple ombre, you'd think that would be one too many ideas in one piece. Nope! Rather impressive if you ask me. It is also available in a rose/brown combination which is equally as lovely. My sandals were a gift from Lex. Sadly, I've worn them so much that they're now missing rhinestones. Let it be known, I'm going to ride these babies out until the very end. I know you ladies feel me! Stay happy and have a terrific week! If you know anything about Arizona, you'll know our weather is T O T A L L Y bipolar. A few days ago it was in the 70's, and now it's been in the 50's and raining for two days! Even though spring is coming, our closets are slowly transitioning to spring (back to the 70's and sunny for a for more days this week!). We decided to venture out in the rain in style, outfit info and links below! Hey ya'll, Lex & Ash here welcoming you to our new blog. We've been best friends since we were 16 and share a love for fashion, fitness, and food. After talking about it we finally decided to try to share that love with the internet! I'm a math teacher, soccer coach, and fashion lover. I switch up my style on a daily basis and love following fashion challenges on Instagram. I'm a bargain shopper and sales queen, paying full price is not my forte. I used to worry about changing up my style when I was younger, but the older I get the more I realize that expressing yourself through fashion is truly for you, and wearing whatever you want makes it an even more unique experience. I have a rather unique life. I had a debilitating injury occur when I was 18, leaving me with permanently disabled right arm. My shoulder brace has to be worn daily. Therefore, making sure it works with every outfit is key. It's amazing how an outfit can truly transform how you carry yourself. It certainly has that effect on me. I love a great deal, and maybe the occasional splurge. There is so much fashion inspiration all around us, but it's important to dress for yourself first and foremost. |
