Spring is here in full swing. We love how Spring portrays new beginnings. Fresh floral blooms are sprouting, soft delicate-like breezes float through the air, the world is just full of soft, feminine touches.
To celebrate this Springtime season, we are hosting our next style challenge leading straight up to Easter. We can’t wait to see all your pretty and feminine looks. Do you embrace color or keep it neutral? Perhaps just a pop of pink here or there? We want to see! Our challenge will extend through four weeks, carrying us through the month of March.
At the end of those four weeks, will will select *three* winners. Participants must be following all hosts & sponsors to have a chance at winning. We will be selecting our winners at random on April 1, 2018.
Prizes include: @maileyrose gift card, @dandelionleatherco earrings, and a @jadekaidesigns trucker hat.
Style prompts are completely open to your interpretation. Need help with some ideas? Here are some extra tips and suggestions if you’d like a little extra guidance.
March 1-7 Pastel Hues: Think blush pinks, periwinkle blues, mint greens, and soft yellows. There are so many delicate shades to choose from. Intimidated by girly colors? Start with your favorite basics, then implement color in little touches like jewelry, shoes or a handbag.
March 8-15 Feel Good Florals: What else could be more appropriate for Spring? Flowers are blooming everywhere we turn, even here in the desert. Floral Spring dresses come in many styles and prints. Soft and mini floral prints are on trend this season, adding a feminine and delicate touch to any piece. Feeling adventurous? Don’t be afraid to mix and match.
March 16-23 Pretty In Pink: There are countless shades to choose from. Embrace your femininity with a flirty dress or a sweet blouse. Hot pink trousers? We’re all in. Casually layer with a denim jacket or cardigan for a laid back daytime look. Throw on a blazer and some pumps for an unexpected office look. Heading out? Try a delicate lace top & a leather jacket for the perfect blend of sweet and edgy.
March 24-31 Feminine Touches: Girly touches can be added in so many ways. Ideas include elegant lace, colorful hues, soft chiffon, and silky fabrics. Want to make an impact? Try a delicately draped wrapped silk or satin dress. Slip dress styles are all the rage. Prefer to keep it simple? Simply silk or satin tops make a subtle feminine statement, plus pair with dark wash denim and a simple heel or flat to make it more daytime casual.
Spring is here in full swing. Some are beyond excited for all things open toed. But if you're like me, you're just not ready to say goodbye to all the boots of winter, at least not quite yet.
Here is my favorite style to carry them through to Spring.
This time of year, I am a straight sucker for neutrals. White denim and a simple white tank is the most versatile baseline look to stem from. You could take your outfit any direction from here. Keeping it simple, I wore my light wash grey OTK boots, with a knit scarf is a similar shade. Minimal jewelry and a pop of color in my bag keeps this look clean and fresh.
I love a good mule, and blush and pinks are perfect for transitioning to spring. I scored these babes on sale recently and linked a few similar as well! They're cute and simple, plus you can't go wrong with velvet!
Also, can you believe I scored this Chindi rug for $2!! I actually ended up getting three for me and a few for Ash as well! Similiar linked here!
There is just something about velvet textures that just screams luxury. Velvet is back with a vengeance in the fashion world, and we aren't at all mad about it. Versatile in styling, its the perfect way to add something unique to your outfit.
& Guess what? Now is the perfect time for you to explore the velvety world of fashion!
Target has marked down hundreds of beautiful velvet pieces all under $21! ($20.98 lol)
Below you'll find tons of my picks, along with gorgeous plus size options as well!
& Just like that, we are at NYE! I wanted to share some of my favorite sparkly outfits from my closet that may help inspire your style! Something about sequins and New Years just goes hand in hand. Plus, who doesn't love getting a little bit glam?
Is wearing an "ugly" holiday sweater....I mean singing loud for all to hear is great as well, but nothing beats rocking an amazing sweater!
When I first started teaching, Jane was on my math team. She was amazing and during the entire month of December she would wear a ridiculous Christmas shirt, sweater, or vest. She was my spirit animal and I have since then obtained many different holiday varieties. I love all my Christmas and Hanukkah sweaters and it works out that they're "trendy" now so I can actually buy more without scavenging through thrift stores and Kmart. This party snowman sweater is one of my absolute favorites and I linked some other great ones I found for girls and guys for those last minute Ugly sweater and family parties! Happy Christmas & last day of Hanukkah!
I also linked some men’s as well because if your significant other likes to play along they have some awesome sweaters as well!
I don't know about you but I love a basic style that can be dressed up or dressed down. A simple button down dress can be worn so many different ways to create multiple looks. I love a neutral color so that I can pair it with cardigans, belts, boots, and so much more to create the style I'm aiming for. With this highs in the 60's I decided to go for a more "winter" look today.
Theselayering tanks are lifesavers with dresses that don't have the length needed. I pair them under so many dresses to add length and to also give the look a different feel with the lace added. Add a belt, cardi, OTK boots and viola - a winter look made for a sunny, cool, day.

Mind over matter, its exactly what it sounds like.
It is the ability to overcome your physical limitations through willpower.
This statement speaks so highly to me. Often times I am discouraged by my shoulder injury. It never stops spasming (literally 24/7 vibrations course through my upper body and right arm), it would be so easy to wallow in self pity. Why would I though? Why bring myself down, why share that negative energy with the world, henceforth bringing others down with you? Yes, it sucks. NO, I will not let it consume me. We all have something in our lives, physical or emotional. Its up to you on how you handle it all.
Mind of matter, y'all.
We have all seen them at this point. Pointy toed, embellished with the perfect amount of class and sass. The Valentino T-Strap Pump.
Aren't they beautiful? Not to mention they are available in 4 colors. If a $995 pricepoint is doable for you, more power to you! I mean, lets be real. We ALL want these shoes in our closet, even if its just to look at. But also, adulting. That pretty close to a home mortgage. Oh my, just look at the red ones.
PS: I hear that they run small, order a 1/2 size up!
Oh goodness, just all heart eyes.
I personally could never spend that much on shoes. So obvioooously, I had to find all the best dupes!
'Tis the season for... my favorite.... Holiday socks!!
Great for a comfy lounging day at home, but perfectly functional for warmth or keeping your pants in place under those boots. I've linked a few of my favorite striped holiday socks for him and her below!
