The older I get, the more I realize that most dresses are too short or too tight, oh man did I just age in that sentence! Obviously I've shifted to shop at different stores, but there are still some super cute items in my closet that I just can't let go of! Instead of tossing them (or donating like I probably should....) I keep them around so I can mix them up. This dress is adorable, but my main issue is that it is so sheer! Here's how I switched it up! This Junky dress is totally adorable but every time I walk my slip rides up and it just becomes irritating. Below are two different ways I styled it! I'm in love with the fact that "super low rise" jeans are out, because high-waisted or natural waists are my faves and I'm so glad they're "trendy" again so I can stock up! Blouses, shirts, and even dresses tucked and belted is my go-to lately and I love how classic it looks. P.s. Can we talk about how adorable these chunky heeled mules are! As I was meandering through target, something I should probably avoid...and I stumbled on these babes on the clearance rack for $15! Yes please, they're so cute and comfy, and I even had to go up a half size because my normal size was a tad too small. I linked the exact pair and other similar, unfortunately they're not on sale online but still only $25! If you haven't figured it out by now, I love tulle skirts! So naturally I also layered this dress until my rose colored multi-layered skirt. These skirts can be worn on the hips, natural waist, or my usual, high waisted. The ruffle waist band is also very flattering and isn't too tight to be uncomfortable. Update: I did it again!! Today at church I mixed this adorable print dress with my denim skirt and I love the way it turned out! This is another Junky dress that I scored for $3, yes I said three dollars, and I simply tucked and belted and voila, total outfit mix up! I'm a creature of habit and no matter the fact that they always get dirty, I am a sucker for authentic whites and Industrial at San Tan was closing so scored these bad boys for 40% off. They will inevitably get dirty, but I do have admit that using a protector spray helps! I've been using the Vans one but once this bottle runs out I will be purchasing the Jason Markk Repel. If you'v never heard of the brand I'm obsessed with their Essential Kit for cleaning up my shoes as well! I've also read great reviews on the Reshoevn8er if you're looking for other sprays! Don't judge me, but this adorable jean skirt is actually from the girls section at Costco, lol I'm such a cheapskate!! It had little shorts built in but I just cut them out and it fits great! Future reference...I'm a 25-27 or a 0-3 usually, and this skirt is a girls 14, lol!
