I don't know about you, but I love me a good pair of running shoes. I haven't bought new tennis shoes in far too long because I've honestly been really picky. I've been on the hunt for all white shoes, or all black shoes, and have had no luck for a while. My go-to shoes are Nikes so I live for scouring the massive outlet we have out here.
,Although I've been on the hunt for my specific shoes...once I found these Lunarglides I fell in love instantly. With the 9's out a lot of the 8's are on sale and fortunately for me they were not only on sale at the outlet plus an additional 40% off, woo! And after all day in heels yesterday these Nikes felt like a dream on my feet all day with how comfortable they are. Shop my look below!

I am all about finding workout motivation in any way possible. Color is one of the things that really does it for me.
Now, let's talk shoes. I am 100% a Nike girl when it comes to fitness footwear. I will admit that I have not ventured away from Nike in many, many years. I'm sure there are tons of other great brands. Actually, Under Armour has a lifetime guarantee on their athletic shoes. But I personally love how Nike seems to fit my foot perfectly. I wear a half size smaller in their shoes. ( I am usually a solid 7/7.5. I wear a 6.5/7).
My top priority is that my feet must be able to breathe. For some reason my feet have always been the hottest part of my body, especially when wearing close toed shoes. Mesh & knitting completely saves me from that. The Nike Flex 5 (2016 is what I have), takes all of my shoe priorities and puts them into one perfect shoe. I tend to go for bright colors, but do believe you should always have classic black and white. These are all incredibly lightweight. Perfect for things like running, biking and yoga. It is the perfect time of year for hiking in Arizona. It goes by quickly, so we take full advantage while the weather lasts! Yesterday was President's day. Being that Alexis is a teacher, she got the day off from her 8th graders. Woo! We hit the trail!
The Hawe's Loop trail is perfect for all ages. It is a 6.2 mile trail (rated as moderate), but you are absolutely able to make it as short as you would like! There are bike trails for the more experienced, as well as simple trails for both young and old alike. We highly recommend checking it out if you're ever in the area. It is on the East Side of Mesa, -map linked at bottom of page- closer to Ash's home. Ironically, she had never been! The weather was absolutely intoxicating. After heavy rain the prior two days, the landscape was luscious and the skies were a stark blue. Just gorgeous. |
