If you're like me and you have tomorrow off - holla! - you're definitely celebrating that today is your "Friday". I'm so grateful for the three day weekend to rest and prepare for the craziness coming up in life.
I love clothing items that can be worn multiple ways and styles, and thisMona Dress is one of them! Although it is a little tighter than I would like across my hips, I dressed it up and dressed it down for two different looks. Read more to see how I styled this dress.

Fall has finally come to Arizona and I couldn’t be more excited. Sweater weather is my favorite, and when our temperatures are between 50 and 85 degrees, it’s completely acceptable to break out the fall wear. Read more below to see some of the different ways I styled these sweaters and where to find them!
When you find the perfect striped dress, you buy it in both colors! Especially when its just $18! I've always been a sucker for stripes. So when I found this simple t-shirt dress, I knew it was a must have. From Junky Trunk Boutique, the Sawyer Striped Dress is your key to looking effortlessly styled. Available in both a white with black stripes, or black with white stripes. You're getting the steal of a lifetime, without the jail time haha! The material is lightweight, but thick enough where there is zero sheerness. Being that it is 65% rayon and 8% spandex, it definitely has an ample amount of stretch! Here are some of my styling inspirations: Perfect for dressing up or down, its the most effortless day to night dress. -Pair it with sandals and a vest for an easy casual look. -Throw on some sneaks and a ball cap for a chic athleisure day. -Booties and some leather, date night ready. Need I say more? Happy Friday y'all!
Transitioning from season to season isn't always easy. Especially when the temps outside do nothing to encourage anything but summer-wear. This AZ heat is constantly trying to remind us its not quite fall. But, there are a few little touches to your style that can add to at least make it feel a bit more so. Here is just a quick look at how I like to style my long cardigan as we transition our style with the seasons. Let me start by saying I'm a firm believer in white after Labor day. I'm just never quite ready to put away my 'summer whites'. But here we are. Its almost September and the seasons are changing. By adding a long (mid-thigh to mid-calf) cardigan, it creates a more comfortable and laid back look that doesn't just say sandcastles and sunshine. Truly an effortless look. I chose to keep it simple, with minimal accessories and booties. But you could dress this up or down. It essentially just a combination of basics if you break it down. All year-round staples in my wardrobe: -summer shorts -basic tee -long cardigan -flat booties The styling choices are entirely in your hands. By pairing with booties, I have a look that holds onto summer for a bit longer, while slowly getting myself into that fall state of mind. Shop my favorite long cardigans below! Statement earrings are a fantastic way to add a little extra to your outfit and can give something basic that extra "oomph". Bonus points if it matches your highlighter!
Unfortunately, earrings are always hit or miss with me because of my past earlobe choices. Sounds strange right? Let me explain...when I was 19 I decided to stretch (or gauge) my three lower piercings to size 2. You can see my second hole is still gauged. And before you ask, yes I only have one earring. When I was 12 my mom didn't want me to get another piercing, but my genius little self was able to convince her into letting me and my sister "split the piercing", you know "because of all the lost earrings I can wear". Although I love statement earrings and how cute they can be! Even now at 27, I'm still debating whether or not I want to go back to gauges all the time. The reason that I took them out was because I had just gotten engaged and I decided that I wanted to wear my grandmothers jewelry. I didn't wear earrings or anything for about a year just so I could wear her opals that she passed down to me.
I've never been good at changing my jewelry and adding all those statement pieces, especially because weight is always an issue. These adorable (and cheap) chunky earrings I wore today would probably be totally fine for normal earlobes, and I did okay, but I only lasted for about 4 hours before I took them out! For all you earring lovers (and wearers) out there, I linked some adorable statement pieces below so I can vicariously live through you!
Jewelry is always a hit or miss for me, I I have so many pieces that I never wear. I'm slowly getting rid of what I don't wear and making sure I only purchase pieces I know I will wear.
One thing I have moved towards are bangles, and Alex and Ani are definitely my favorite by far! But I have to tell you about my newest addition: the hair tie cuff, genius invention btw. If you're looking for higher quality here is the "original". I actually scored this bad boy on Amazon for only $16! I have child-sized wrists, so It is a little loose on. If you have normal sized wrists I'm sure you will be fine, but if they are smaller just be aware the cuff won't stay on without a hair tie! P.s. My shoes are still available at Target, I've been slowly stocking up on Mossimo before they are gone, and they are on sale in store for $17. Shop the look below!
I can tell I'm ready for fall by the outfits I choose sometimes. I'm loving the olives and darks right now and in Arizona, that's not necessarily the best choice! These extra long tees are only $10 from H&M and are some of my favorites, so comfy and can worn as a dress with an extender, can be knotted up, or tucked in for so many versatile looks. This new denim skirt from Lizard Thicket is slowly become a new fave, and of course will be perfect for fall as well! Check out that read more tab to see how I styled this plus soooo many options for my look alike shoes (seriously so similar to the JCrew!) that I got for BOGO at Payless.
